Hi there, I have just found your blog. I was surprised how little publicity there was in the mass media in the UK for IWD.

Along with another UK woman, and my daughter who lives in Brooklyn, NY, I have just started a blog - Towards 2011 - 100 years of International Women's Day, in order to publicise the event a little more, and also to examine news items, research, and trivia about women's issues.

Hope you enjoyed your visit to the UK.

International Women’s Day is 08th March 2008, and there is no better place to celebrate it then London, England – the most global capital in the world. Read about planned events for this most electric day for women world-wide. And every now and again I will post human rights issues near and dear to my heart.
